Lakeside residential students live in a purpose built six bedroomed house which is situated on the site of the existing school, but far enough away so as to facilitate increased independence. It enjoys its own garden, separate entrance and drive and has a specially designed teaching laundry, kitchen and area for leisure and recreation. Three additional FE classrooms are provided on site in Lakeside 2 and Lakeside Lodge and a further classroom is leased from St Helens College.
