Sharing our Expertise with the Community
Autism Act 2009
The Autism Act which was recently approved by Parliament will guarantee the introduction of the first ever adult autism strategy. It will set out how local services should be improved to meet the needs of adults with autism.
The strategy will cover a range of issues including health, social care, employment and training and will be accompanied by guidance which places a legal obligation on local authorities and NHS bodies to meet certain requirements.
At Wargrave House we will endeavour to contribute to this strategy by offering bespoke training to professionals within the health, social care and employment sectors. Watch this space from future training courses or alternatively contact Sue Gledhill, Senior Administrator at the school for further details.
