Residential pupils are funded either by Education Authorities, Health or Social Services. The “Contract of Care” agreement and a financial contract, which together with the individual plan of care, formalises the placement arrangement in respect of the individual pupil. The contract includes both local authority services and family involvement, be it natural parents, extended family or foster family.
