Working in partnership with parents/carers is a central principle of the work at Wargrave House School.
Our families are from a wide geographical area therefore we aim to bring them together both formally and informally to enable everyone involved to share problems and also to learn more about their own and each others children and young people.
Termly coffee mornings are facilitated by the Family Liaison Officer providing a relaxed forum for support and communication.
Additional parent workshops are run to provide information on relevant topics. Staff also attend providing learning experiences for all involved. These meetings update everyone on current research, teaching methods and approaches to autism.
