Lakeside House
Through our values of Courage, Creativity, Resilience and Kindness, Individual EHCPs and “My Turn to Learn” curriculum all students are encouraged and supported to cook, launder, iron, clean and tidy areas, attend to personal care needs and engage in a range of meaningful offsite activities.
“X has learned to choose, staff have set up choices and waited until he has chosen. This makes him feel that he matters; it has given him expectation.”
Each student has a personal development plan providing an extension to the learning experience in class.
“Young people chose activities they want to attend, the food they eat and how they relax.”
“Young people make clear progress in the areas set out in their EHCPs, this includes essential skills for adulthood and employment.”
“The residential experience is a positive addition to their lives.”
“Staff capture young people aspirations in person centred planning.”
