Term Time plus 2 weeks, 25 hours per week working either 8am – 1pm or 9am – 2pm
Salary: £10,493 per annum NJC Point 1
Start date as soon as possible subject to satisfactory recruitment checks being completed including Enhanced DBS
Wargrave House Limited operates a 38-week day non-maintained special school and independent specialist college for 5 to 25 year olds. We have an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to children and young people with Autism.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional, flexible and reliable cook to assist in our busy school kitchen on a fixed term contract.
You will be responsible for a variety of duties including; providing a variety of hot and cold meals each day working to a 2 week menu, assisting and monitoring with stock levels, assisting with deliveries, cleaning duties within the kitchen and washing up and preparing and unloading trolleys to be taken to classes.
Ideally, you will have at least three years hands on experience of working in a school kitchen. A self-starter with the ability to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and work unsupervised you will be able to forge positive relationships and have a strong commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer care. Knowledge of food safety and dietary requirements is a strong requirement.
Hours of work are 8am – 1pm or 9am – 2pm and during the school, holidays will generally be between the hours of 8am – 4pm.
