Remarkable Autism Limited operates a 38-week day non-maintained special school and independent specialist college and therapy service for 5 to 25 year olds. We have an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to children and young people with autism.

As a talented professional with a desire to make a difference to children and young people with complex needs, you will share your experience and expertise on a voluntary basis to support the Charity’s ambition to grow, diversify and develop services for children and young people living with autism.

Currently providing a range of special educational learning and therapy to 75 pupils with autism, the organisation’s charitable arm has big plans to provide additional services and specialist therapeutic support. In the current climatewhere compassion, kindness and charity have never been more needed, we’re looking for brilliant, altruistic individuals willing to share their knowledge and skills to develop the charity’s strategic aims and ambitions, but ultimately to improve the lives and outcomes for autistic children and young people.

It is an incredibly exciting time to become part of the leadership team. There is a Chief Executive Officer in post who comes with a wealth of experience in the third sector and autism. There is also an existing group of creative, energetic and highly committed trustees.

Skills and experience in any of the following would be welcomed::

  • Finance Sector
  • Legal Sector
  • Company Secretary

Most trustees report a great deal of satisfaction and achievement in giving something back to their community. Trusteeship can also significantly enhance your CV and strategic experience at Board level by working alongside like-minded, exceptional individuals. You will be given on the job training, guidance and support if this is your first trustee role. It is a unique opportunity to learn new things about the world of charity and education too.
