Residential students are funded either by Education Authorities, Health or Social Services. The “Contract of Care” agreement and a financial contract, which together with the individual plan of care, formalises the placement arrangement in respect of the individual pupil. The contract includes both local authority services and family involvement, be it natural parents, extended family or foster family.
The Bursary Fund provides financial help for young people aged 16 to 19 who may face barriers to staying in education. Students attending Lakeside College may be eligible for an award of up to £1,200 per academic year if one of the below eligibility criteria is met.
Applications for bursary are co-ordinated through Wargrave House. In order to process applications, we will require evidence that supports your claim. If you would like to apply, or discuss your personal circumstances further, please contact Claire Byrne (Family Liaison Officer).
