As we close out another busy and rewarding term, our Winter 2025 Newsletter captures the warmth, energy and remarkable achievements that have filled Wargrave House School over the past few months. From festive celebrations to meaningful learning experiences, this edition reflects the creativity, resilience and togetherness that define our school community.

This Christmassy issue also highlights significant milestones across the school — including exciting developments in our learning environments, inspiring class activities, community engagement, and the ongoing dedication of our staff and therapy teams. It’s a wonderful snapshot of how our learners continue to grow, thrive and shine, both in school and beyond.

Highlights from the Winter Edition

This term has seen several important developments, including the successful move of Key Stage 4 learners into their new building, supporting greater independence and preparation for adulthood. We’ve also celebrated the launch of our school radio station, expanded vocational opportunities through our popular in-house barista team, improved outdoor spaces, and invested in new minibuses to support safe access to community learning.
Across the school, classes have enjoyed a rich range of curriculum-linked experiences — from museum visits, outdoor education and community projects, to creative arts, enterprise activities and preparation for life qualifications. Festive events, Christmas markets and inclusive celebrations have brought learners together in meaningful and enjoyable ways, following National Autistic Society guidance.
The newsletter also shares updates from Sundial Therapy, important medical and attendance information for families, wellbeing support available over the Christmas period, and ways the wider community can support Remarkable Autism through fundraising initiatives. We also take time to say a heartfelt farewell to our Family Liaison Officer, thanking them for a decade of dedicated service.
